Well, maybe this is not a suitable title for the first post in my blog; I hope that it will not bring lots of shepherds wrongly here. I just noticed that I created this blog almost 150 days ago and that I still did not write a post; and 150 days is the gestation period of a sheep. That’s the story.
Now, this is the first post, thus I think I should focus the attention on what will be the content of this blog. My intention is to use it as an external storage for my brain (as the title suggests), just to remove ideas that would never come out.
I will talk about my work, expecially to ask suggestions and maybe to give help if I’ll ever find a particular solution to a problem. I will also talk about crazy ideas that are running on my head and that I would never listen otherwise. Maybe here I will comment projects I am working on, just to show some intermediate results and to ask for suggestions.
Currently, I am a PhD student in Computer Science; my job and projects are mainly about Information Retrieval and Search Engines study, and this blog will also be related to them, of course. I will also discuss some achievements I am working on, because I will need a lot of help.
I think I will also use this blog to talk about Baccanasta; as you can notice by the URL address, Baccanasta is the portal that contains it. I am one of the administrators (with Moksone and Zenion) and I often work to find new solutions to apply to the portal. A lot of my suggestions were discarded, but there are some of them still in use. I will comment here what is in the development stage, before opening it to the rest of the portal.
Just one remark. As you know, the life of a PhD student is usually very busy, so don’t expect frequent updates. I hope that a reasonable amount of people will read my blog and that it will make possible a cooperation with someone out there.
